The objective of the proposal is the recovery and reactivation of the urban nucleus of Sierra de los Blancos and reinserting it back into the activity of the Las Cinco Villas region.
The choice of location is due to the promoter’s return to his native land, after having lived much of his life abroad. In addition to the affective decision, there is an economic commitment to the investment to be made and personal effort to carry out this ambitious project that incorporates the recovery of traditional trades and techniques, together with an environmental commitment and promotion of the area, through a training project as a complement to the realization of the project.
On the other hand, professionals are joining the team who contribute their experience in restoration and work with traditional techniques in sensitive geographical and landscape environments such as those of the black architecture regions, added to the promoter’s own experience as director of the non-profit Bricks for Life.
We believe that this form of action, involving the nearest population through workshops and training activities, aims to ensure that the knowledge acquired in the workshops is later reverted to the area through the participants and, ultimately, to reincorporate this town, through involvement in the project, into the collective imagination and save the town from ruin and oblivion.

For this, work has been done to provide coherence to the final action, valuing the urban structure of the whole of the nucleus, the recovery of the urban profile of the cornice as a configuring element of the historical landscape of Ardisa.
